February to April 2010

Sorry for combining February, March and April's updates together.

We have been busy training through the winter, though not as much as I would like, due to a severe flare up in my back condition. Loads of treatment and medication later, I start the season with still severe back pain and lack of mobility in my back, hips and legs. I am determined it will not affect agility.

Holly is currently on holiday due to a imminent season, which seems to take forever, though with her flirting and driving the boys mad, the best thing was to separate them. On the plus side she is having a whale of a time with Sheeba and Amber at my Mum's.

Snoop and Dre on the other hand are starting the agility season, a few things to practice but the main thing is that they have had so much fun at the shows, and got some rosettes too.
Snoop has gained a 3rd, a 4th, two 5ths, a 6th and 13 clear rounds at Dog Vegas, Agility for Britain and Lincoln shows. He even got a trophy for his 3rd place and was only one or two places out of the placings with most of his clear rounds. I have tried to speed up his contacts and generally worked on tighten his turns up. But in Snoop's eyes a Rosette is a Rosette, never mind what is written on it.

Dre has gained a 7th, 13th and 8 clear rounds at Dog Vegas, agility for Britain and Lincoln shows. Dre has taken to jumping off the contact from a great height so I have been training him in the ring by holding his contacts, apart from a few baby things in the ring wasting time, he is coming along very well.
