January 2013

Happy New Year
Sorry I haven't been updating the blog much, my computer decided to die and well it took me ages to get round to sorting it out.
For work I had the second part of the course and the final exam for Prince2, I then had to wait over a week before being told I had passed - yeah. Then I promised myself I would concentrate on getting fit and ready for the season ahead.
Well mother nature had different plans, with us having so much snow and then loads of rain, so there hasn't been as training this year yet. But on a happier note, below is some lovely snow pictures.
Also towards the end of the month, I hurt my foot, after a trip to A&E, I was informed it was stress fractures in my foot, and I was to rest it when it hurts. Luckily they didn't put it in plaster, so when this weather gets better (and my foot) I can then get back to running and training.

November and December 2012

We haven't been up to much apart from a couple of indoor shows and lots of training.

November we attended Bitz n Bobz show. This was the first time we had attended this show, and surprised we hadn't before as it was so close. A must for future years. This was Flash's first ever show, which he was allowed to run in Grade 0 only. this meant I could see what training I needed to put in before running Flash at open shows outside. I was a bit nervous of course but I didn't need to be. Flash, though herded and barked like mad outside the ring, once inside, he was so focused on me and the equipment. I was also slightly concerned how I was going to get on, I was infact running four dogs, who had four run each and there was only two rings. Three of my dogs were in the same class, and there were only about 25 in these classes anyway. To say, I was very tired by the end of the day, was an understatement.

Snoop was a 'snoopastar' as usual. It was his first show in anysize classes (or Grade 0 at this show) and went on to get two 1st, one 2nd and a 4th.
Dre was very eager but did very well indeed only taking out the odd pole in each of his classes, we had so much fun in the process though.
Holly came away with a nice 2nd (just behind Snoop)
Flash - His first few rounds, were confidence handling errors on my part. I wasn't really sure if he was going to dart off into the other ring or what! Flash did do some baby things like I forgot to go out to the jump and thought he would take it, but never mind, it was all about having fun, which we had lots of. In Flash's last run, he did a lovely controlled jumping round, nothing special but I was very happy with it. Well he only went and won the class, 4 seconds faster than Snoop who got 4th in the same class. I was very proud. Below pictures of the rosettes and trophies.

December was rather busy for me. For work, I had the first part of the course and first exam for Prince2, which I passed just before xmas. We also attended another bitz n bobz show, though I was some what distracted at this show, due to all the revision I had been undertaking and exam nerves for the following week, but even so, we had so much fun. I have never forgotten where the courses have gone before, so lesson learnt, must try harder.

Snoop gained a 1st and a clear round (I nearly forgot the course).
Holly was the star of this show, taking home a 1st, a 2nd and a 4th.
Dre and Flash, were on top form, apart from the slight handling errors from me.

And one to make you smile - Flash asleep with a bone in his mouth

October 2012

It is well and truely cold, winter is deff on the way. The crew's training is going very well and having so much fun. We have even been out running, well dragging me round the block. Just look for the mad lady with the border collies strapped to her, trying to run.
Below are the rest of the photos from our Cornwall holiday in September, just to make you feel nice and warm.
