November 2011

November has been a busy one. Flash is still excelling at obedience, in most things he is so much more advanced than others in the group and even gets used to demonstrate. It is such a pleasure to work a willing and easy dog. Flash has been going to work with Dave and enjoying chasing the pheseants and meeting everyone on site. Snoop, Dre and Holly have been busy with agility, i'm really looking forward to next season and so glad the weather is still quite mild. Apart from working, agility and obedience training, we have been on some lovely works mainly up the football fields. Flash has grown so much, he is about 1cm shorter than Dre in height, on the 16/11/11 he was a whopping 14.55kg (i'm sure he has put another 1-2kg since then). It's great to see Snoop and Holly in Flash. Flash has Snoop's head and ears, and Holly's tail. At the moment I think Flash has more hair on his tail than Holly, the poor thing has lost nearly all her coat.

October 2011

October has gone so fast, Holly turned 4 and Flash is now 3 months old. Holly is back at agility, now on full height and really enjoying herself. Flash has started puppy obedience. At his first class we were immediately put up to the next level and then continued to excel in that class. Everyone thinks Flash is much older than he is due to his size and ability, making each exercise look extremely simple. Flash is so much like Snoop, his willingness to work and please. All have been on some lovely walks. Flash was immediately off lead with recalls to die for. Flash has started sitting on the back of the sofa, it's funny Snoop used to do the same thing when he was a puppy. Flash has been going to work with Dave and has met some cows and sheep - he thinks they are very interesting and was very well behaved around them. Below are some pictures and videos for you to enjoy.

August to Spetember 2011

We haven't been to any competitions the past couple of months but have enjoyed some very good training sessions and lovely walks. On 31/7/11 Holly had 5 pups by Snoop. My mum kindly had the litter at her house. They went from this to this in 5 weeks from left to right Scraps, Alfie, Star, Flash and Blaze. It was a pleasure to watch them grow up and their characters develop. Holly was such a natural mum all the way through which made things very easy. My mum is keeping Blaze and we kept Flash. All the others went to some really good homes, and two we will be hopefully see competing in agility in the future. More pictures and details can be found on http://www.pawsontours2.blogspot.com/ I will be updating that blog which pictures and stories as they all grow up. So to introduce Flash, who is so much like Snoop, he is so willing to work and learn just like Holly and Snoop. Flash came to my house at 7.5 weeks old and has been clean from the first night. He did whine about an hour after putting him to bed for the first couple of nights, but Snoop (Dad) slept in the kitchen with him for a week and now he is happy to sleep on his own. He has a few favourite games, play fighting with Blaze; running around as fast as he can with the loudest toy in his mouth; bouncing from bed to bed (I have three dog beds in the lounge behind the sofa). I lost him the other day only to find him in the kennel on the decking bouncing around on the beds in there. He loves pigs ears and carrots (got that from his Dad). He also loves pawing water bowls and catching rain. I have started all the basics with him and was quite surprised what we can already start to do: sit, lay down, come, stay (about 5 secs at the moment and 5 feet away), heel (on and off lead), right and left turns and twists, fetch, roll over, play tug, paw, and target. He has come to agility training and various places with me over the past couple of weeks and loves meeting people especially if they have treats on them. On 1/10/11 Flash was 7.65kg and don't I know it when I carry him around. Flash and Snoop The new family Here are some more pictures and videos for you to enjoy.
