We have attended a couple of shows, the weather has been variable, mainly very wet and cold!
Snoop and Holly continue to have lots of fun in anysize classes and still bringing home the clear rounds and placings rosettes.
Dre has been keeping his paws up and occasionally getting his contacts, but the main thing is that he has so much fun whilst doing agility. At Hatton and Adams shows he got a 2nd, 4th and a clear.
Flash had his last grade 3 show at Dordale and got a 1st, His first grade 4 show at Hatton, he got a 2nd in grade 4-7 steeplechase. Flash then went onto winning into Grade 5 at his second grade 4 show at Adams getting three 1st places. Flash still has lots to learn and we must master the start line waits, things are improving and we get better each time we set foot in the ring, though something Flash shows his inexperience, it is a working progress. I have to remember he isn't even three year.
Jesse, Flash's sister has also been doing well gaining many clears and placings in grade 3. She reminds me of Snoop when he first started and looks lovely in the ring.
Winter 2013 then April 2014
With most of the major agility competitions over with, we will be busy training and attending the odd indoor winter show. Below are some more pictures from our Cornwall in September. Over the winter we have been to a couple of indoor shows. Holly and Snoop bring back all the rosettes and have so much fun. Dre and Flash have been developing and gaining experience.
April saw the start of the main competing season, and all shows being held at outdoor venues, with the rings being larger and the equipment spaced out more. We have attended Spring at Shuttleworth, Adams easter, Lincoln and Dordale. What fun we have had! All our training has suddenly come together.
Snoop and Holly bring back many placing and clear rounds in their anysize/ veteran classes - what a joy to run a course just for the fun of it.
Dre (my little pole knocker) has gained a 6th, 7th and 8th - Wow
Flash (aaaaaahhhhhh), well with only one clear in a KC event last year and over the winter has started the main season with a big bang. OMG, his first outdoor show and he goes and win the grade 3 agility (with held contacts and big turns), taking him to grade 4. On top of that Flash has gained in April 1st x 2, 3rd x 4, 4th and 15th x 2. What an achievement. One of his 3rd places also qualified him for the Dog vegas grade 3-5 final, so much more practicing needs to be completed.
